| COMPONENTS | |
| Micro886ULP | The low power Micro886ULP PC/104+ computer controls the system and allows data to be collected via serial, USB or Ethernet that can be processed and used to annotate the video stream. |
| VAC104 | The VAC104 is the heart of the system providing both the video input and the video annotation and display features. Live composite video is input and blended with the graphics and text generated from the data collected by the Micro886ULP. The annotated video output can be viewed on a VGA monitor whilst the identical composite output is passed on to the MPEG4000. |
| MPEG4000 | The MPEG4000 allows the video complete with annotation to be captured and compressed for archiving purposes and for remote viewing etc. |
| FireSpeed2000 | The FireSpeed2000 allows a quick and convenient way of providing storage for the data files produced by the system. IEEE-1394 "Firewire" drives can be hot-plugged allowing easy rotation of storage media without having to power cycle the system. |
Example Application - Machine Vision
Industrial systems often need a convenient way of not only capturing live video but of also displaying relevant information concerning the subject on the same screen. AMP's products allow the development of a machine vision system than annotates the captured video with any required information before displaying it on system VGA/Composite output. Where necessary the Composite Annotated output could also be recorded for later viewing.
