AMP's Mobile586DX is a high performance and cost effective PC-AT compatible embedded computer in a standard
3U card format. The Mobile586DX is 100% compatible with MSDOS, Windows 3.x, TCP/IP, QNX, etc. In addition
to built-in controllers for floppy and IDE drives, the built-in FlashDisk enables the Mobile586DX to be used in high
reliability diskless applications. The on-board SVGA controller is capable of directly driving the widest range of
LCD, TFT, EL, Plasma Flat Panels to 1024 x 768 resolution. An on-board 24-bit video bus allows live video to be
overlayed in a window on CRT or Flat Panel display. System expansion is via the AT96 bus (for rack-mount
applications) and 16-bit PC/104. The PC/104 provides low cost expansion for addition of functions such
as PCMCIA, Frame Grabber, additional Comms, Analogue and Digital I/O.
As part of our Long term availability promise this product has now been moved to our Legacy line. AMP Legacy products have guaranteed long term availability to existing customers but are no longer recommended for new projects.
