Synchro104 - SDLC/HDLC Serial Communications Controller

The Synchro104 is an eight channel synchronous serial communication controller on a single low power PC/104 (pc104) card providing an unprecedented level of communication port integration, performance and flexibility. The Synchro104 SDLC/HDLC controller is a cost-effective solution for providing up to eight Synchronous SDLC/HDLC ports on a PC/104 system. The Synchro104 utilises an ultra high performance industry standard SCC with enhanced features resulting in improved flow control and extremely high data rates. Each of the 8 channels may be individually configured for RS232, RS422 or RS485 level operation at speeds up to 10Mbits/sec. Interrupt control hardware and flexible address decoding allow the Synchro104 to only occupy a single IRQ line on the PC/104 system thus reducing IRQ resource overhead in hardware intensive applications. Because of the flexible address decoding and interrupt control hardware, up to 4 Synchro104 cards may be fitted in a PC/104 system providing up to 32 SDLC/HDLC Synchronous channels on the system. The Synchro104 is provided with software drivers for the most popular Operating Systems including MSDOS, Windows95/98/NT/CE,NT-Embedded, Linux and RTOS such as QNX etc.
