The DVI2GMSL is an intelligent stand-alone scan converter that accepts DVI or HDMI input, optionally scales and then displays over Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link™ (GMSL).
The DVI2GMSL captures HDMI/DVI digital video and serialises it for output over a 3.12Gbps GMSL Coax link. The DVI2GMSL provides automatic vertical and horizontal up -scaling and down-scaling of the input video. This allows flexible conversion between input and output resolutions as required by the application. The DVI2GMSL is compatible with a range of GMSL deserializers allowing easy conversion of HDMI/DVI sources to GMSL coax.
The DVI2GMSL is an intelligent stand -alone device with its own on-board MPU and does not require a host CPU or any driver software. For mechanical convenience, the module can be mounted on a PCI -104 stack without consuming host CPU resources.
The DVI2GMSL is complemented by AMP ’s nanoGMSL2HDMI module. The combination of DVI2GMSL and nanoGMSL2HDMI allows HDMI signals to be sent reliably over 15m of Coax cabling.
