AMP releases one of a kind vision-enabled AI host platform for ML/Inference/Edge computing applications

Advanced Micro Peripherals (AMP), an embedded boards and system solutions manufacturer, has announced the release of the JetStream, a rugged, multi-channel AI video processor for Jetson™ modules. The JetStream provides dual HDMI and eight composite video inputs allowing multi-channel video AI applications to be rapidly developed and deployed.

“Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important for embedded vision systems. With a proven background in Embedded Video, AMP is combining our range of video technologies with AI Edge Computing to bring neural networks and machine learning to embedded systems”, wrote company founder and CEO Lee Foss. “These systems bring advanced AI methods, such as image classification, object detection/segmentation, to applications in industrial automation, traffic monitoring, and military technology.”

The JetStream features support for NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX and Nano modules along with dual HDMI/DVI inputs at up to 1080p60 and an 8-channel NTSC/PAL/RS-170 low latency video capture engine. The expandability and rugged form factor (PCIe104) of the JetStream will allow OEM’s to add sensors and other functionality designed to help rapid development of vision-enabled AI applications.
